Wilderness & Remote First Aid Training

   ***This course is for participants ages 14 years old and must hold a valid CPR/AED Certification. ***  

   Wilderness and Remote First Aid Training is to equip participants with essential skills to manage medical emergencies in outdoor settings help may not be immediately available.       The course typically covers topics such as assessing injuries, performing CPR, wound care, and managing environmental hazards.

   It's ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, campers, Boy scout Troops/Leaders and professionals working in remote areas, such as park rangers or expedition leaders, who may encounter emergencies far from traditional medical facilities. This training empowers individuals to respond effectively and confidently when faced with unexpected in the wild. 

   Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA's BEST Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.

   This course is 16 hours in length and is classroom and outdoors based. Participants will receive:

  • Wilderness and Remote First Aid Emergency Reference Guide 

  • A Pocket-Sized version of the Emergency Reference Guide

   This course is aimed for groups of at least 5 or more and is part of the Colchester Park and Rec Program seasonally and available as a Corporate Training or for Scout Groups upon request!
