Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
An Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) is a trained individual who provides immediate emergency care to patients in acute or urgent situations. EMRs are often the first on the scene offering critical assistance such as first aid, CPR, treating shock or traumatic injuries and other life-saving interventions until more advanced medical personnel arrive. Their quick response and knowledge play a vital role in stabilizing patients and ensuring they receive the necessary care. EMRs are essential members of the Emergency Medical Services team, dedicated to saving lives and promoting safety in their communities.

Who Can be an EMR?
